Not even the wrath of the now infamous Cyclone Debbie could delay the Opening of this ALDI store that the Streetbuild team recently completed in Maroochydore this month.

Grand Opening Day on the 21st June was a huge success with the traditional ALDI Specials literally walking out the door by the trailer load. There was certainly no sign of any major weather event that hit the town and surrounding areas just weeks prior.

The massive 1200sqm store looks very impressive. 40 low hanging industrial style pendant lights adorn the centre of this store creating an unobtrusive, ambient light.

There are plenty of windows along 3/4 of the store that bring in an abundance of natural Sunshine Coast sunlight - all with automatic blinds that are on timers.

The beautiful Italian ceramic tiles are a real feature and have been designed to withstand high traffic.

This was the first ALDI base-build for our Queensland team. Heading up the team was Project Manager Steve Winchester, with Mark Johnston as our Site Manager and Ashley Pilkington our Contract Administrator.

Major weather difficulties - such as Debbie, during a build are thankfully rare. The Streetbuild team did an incredible job of bringing this concept into reality in very tough circumstances.

Thanks to the efforts of our team, the store opened on time, and to a very happy client.

Streetbuild wishes to thank every sub-contractor who worked on this project with us.
