What does a decade at Streetbuild look like?
We ask Ryan Lotz, our Senior Project Manager as he celebrates his 10 year anniversary with the team.
Commencing his Streetbuild career back in 2011 as a Contractors Administrator while completing his Bachelor of Construction Management, Ryan has since moved through the ranks to become part of the Executive Team. Over this time, he has proven invaluable to the delivery of some of our biggest projects, with an unwavering drive to deliver successful outcomes for our clients.
What has been your most memorable moments at Streetbuild?
Over my 10-year tenure, the moments that stand out are those that have provided me an opportunity to bond and connect with people. Facing challenges and achieving success as a team, creates an environment where relationships are built and strengthened. Those experiences are irreplaceable.
What has been your greatest achievement while at Streetbuild?
We have had the opportunity of taking on some challenging projects and it is always satisfying to pull them off. I often look back at some of the things we have achieved and are surprised by what we’ve been able to do. Overall, to be a part of a company that has been in business for over 20 years, more than doubling in size in the last 10 years, with an expanding client base and market reach is pretty great.
More personally, becoming the Senior Project Manager here at Streetbuild has been a huge accomplishment. I’ve felt the support of the leadership team throughout my career here, but none more so than taking on this role. Their support has allowed me to confidently approach each new challenge, and this one has been the biggest and most rewarding yet. I now have the opportunity to pass on my knowledge and support the growth of my own team, which is another highlight of my career.
What does success mean to you?
I think I approach the topic of success a little differently than most. I believe success is being honest with yourself and simply having a go. Most of the time, our biggest hurdle is overcoming our own limiting beliefs about what we are capable of. So, I believe we find success when we can identify when we may be holding ourselves back and instead of shying away, putting our best foot forward.
Who inspires you every day?
I am privileged and extremely grateful to be surrounded by people that are so dedicated, intelligent, and all-round great people. Everyone brings something unique to the team and that is what I find inspiring. I thrive in environments where I get to interact and learn from people. It motivates me and gets me going each day.
Why do you enjoy working for Streetbuild?
Without a doubt, the thing I enjoy most about Streetbuild are the people. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with such amazing people that have all contributed to developing a great culture that I’ve seen flourish over the past 10 years.
