H&M Macarthur Square

Another refurbishment completed to add to our long running list of immaculate and inviting retail spaces. Over 7 weeks the NSW team were onsite at H&M Macarthur Square to upgrade the retail floor, store room, staff bathroom, cleaners room and hallways.

Big W Blacktown Refurbishment

Streetbuild were engaged to transform this outdated Big W store under the Australia wide Renewal 2.0 initiative. The refurbishment included demolition and modifications to the existing store, installation of new flooring, paint refresh and upgrades to service areas and back of house facilities.

Woolworths Oran Park eCOMM Expansion

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, Streetbuild were appointed to construct a new online shopping collection point for Woolworths Group to help facilitate and evolve with rapidly changing customer needs. the changing customer needs. This project included the construction of a new canopy, office, cool room and back of house space.

Kmart Perth New Store Fit-Out

Over 8 weeks, Streetbuild converted this retail space into a brand new Kmart store. The project began with demolition and removal of existing fit-out which was then replaced with a new store front, upgrade to all internal fittings and relocation of service facilities.

Woolworths Wollongong eCOMM Expansion

To keep up with ever evolving retail customer needs, Woolworths Group partnered with Streetbuild to erect a new online shopping collection point. The project featured Australia’s first fabric awning, as well as modifications to the loading dock and back of house area to ensure the smooth processing of this new service.

KFC Albany Refurbishment

This new fit-out saw us intertwining the old with the new, with subtle nods to KFC’s heritage incorporated seamlessly into the modern space. This project included: new seating areas, serving and back of house counters, internal signage, roof replacement, new flooring services upgrade, new joinery upgrades to the external façade and landscaping works.

Seaview Hotel Refurbishment

We were very proud to be a part of the team who brought a new life to this historical landmark. After over a century in business, the Seaview Hotel in Townsville underwent a massive $8 million dollar refurbishment.

Oran Park Anglican College Upgrade

Anglican Schools Corporation engaged the Streetbuild team seeking an upgrade to their educational space at Oran Park Anglican College. The project included new offices, meeting rooms, print room, workstations and reception. The team also worked on new cladding, windows, privacy screens, and landscaping work.

Kedron State High School Upgrade

In July 2021, the Streetbuild team was engaged to upgrade the Kedron State High School’s uniform shop, classroom and BBQ area.

The upgrade consisted of: upgrade of the front entry including installation of concrete ramps, front pavement and new painted frontage; uniform shop with new walls, vinyl flooring, servery window and stainless-steel bench; a classroom that required new walls, ceilings and floors, complete with acoustic panelling, white boards and short throw projector; and a BBQ area, kitchenette and hand washing area.

This project reflects where quality craftmanship and clever design solutions meet to create a custom space fit for purpose.

Browns Plains State School Upgrade

Engaged by Honeywill Consulting, we completed a canteern upgrade for the Browns Plains State School in Queensland. The project included demolition of the existing canteen internals, including the uniform store and office to install new in ground draining and grease tank and new cold room and freezer with service doors. The space also included new roller doors, bulkheads, ceiling walls, flooring, glazed windows and doors with safety screens and disabled access with external ramps.

Kedron Emergency Services Upgrade

Kedron Emergency Services were thrilled with their new office fit out completed in May 2021 in just five weeks – one week ahead of schedule! All work was conducted after office hours, beginning with a complete demolition of all existing internals to create 46 brand new modern workstations with new floor coverings, joinery and upgrades to all electrical and mechanical services.

AIIB Office Fit Out

AIIB Insurance Brokers selected the Streetbuild team to conduct a new fit out for its Parramatta office in October 2020. The team constructed stage 1 of the project in a live environment, managed with floor to ceiling construction hoarding with minimal use of power tools to reduce noise and business distribution. The new fit out required the full demolition of the existing office to make way for new suspended ceilings, lighting, partitions and feature screens to meeting rooms. The team also upgrades the entire mechanical system and roof, built in a new breakout room, boardroom and kitchen.

Gin Gin Community Hub Extension & Refurbishment

It was our pleasure to work with DC8 Architects & Colab Partners on this extension and refurbishment project for the Gin Gin Community Hub. Over 20 weeks, we delivered a brand new, state-of-the-art library for the Bundaberg community including a new carpark, modern art gallery, shared spaced for community groups to meet, upgraded amenities and outdoor public area and cultural train that tells the story of the history of the town.

Thomas Hassal Anglican College Extension

Over a 20 week period, working closely with geotechnical engineers and the team at Stanton Dahl Architects, we successfully delivered this million-dollar education institution extension. Demonstrating our technical prowess and craftsmanship, the build incorporated awe-striking features from an elliptical reception desk and handcrafted super wood suspended ceilings, to bespoke Caesarstone benchtops and carefully crafted curved wall features, all complete with sandstone and native plant landscaping.

Abbotsleigh School For Girls Boarding House Upgrade

Over six weeks, Streetbuild was engaged to refurbish 24 common areas and 24 bedrooms with new carpet, skirting duct, joinery and ceiling lights. In addition, we upgraded four bathrooms starting with demolition of existing all floor and wall tiles, raiding aerial drainage, waterproofing and installing new partitions, vanities, fixtures and mirrors.

Kincoppal Rose Bay Teacher Accomodation Construction

Kincoppal Rose Bay Teacher Accommodation required civil works to construct the access and prepare the site for the placement of their new two-story buildings. Streetbuild assisted in installing cantilevered suspended slabs for car parking, Gabion walls creating roadways to allow for easy access to a small level area on a sloping sight, block retaining walls to retain upper road level and the installations of 200 meters of handrail to facilitate pedestrian access.

Ravenswood School For Girls Extension

Over 34 weeks, the Streetbuild team created an additional 5 labs, 2 classrooms with a breakout room, a microscope lab, 2 prep rooms, 2 storerooms and upgraded the staff area. The demolition of a stairwell and existing concrete reinforced column was required in order to complete the new learning spaces. The final design included details such as exposed ceilings and Pavegen Tiles which create energy every time they’re walked on which then lights up the LED ceiling.

EG Fuels Gregory Hills Refurbishment

This was our first project completed for EG Fuels. It was a privilege to be entrusted by EG Fuels in the roll our of their first ‘new look’ locations. Over 4 weeks we co-ordinated the fitting and joinery in a shell fit out. The project was completed well over standard with minimal issues – a testament to our project management team.

Kmart Success Complete Conversion

In 12 weeks, we converted the entire store and fit out of an existing Target store into a brand new Kmart. This required a full replacement of kit and brand new shopfront. We completed the a full upgrade to lighting including new i-Track lighting, new fitting rooms , service desk and checkouts. The entire store was upgraded to match the current Kmart specifications and included features such as an entry feature ceiling and polished flooring.

Stockland Gladstone Amenities Upgrade

We completed a full refurbishment to the Gladstone Stockland Amenities including a reconfiguration and upgrade to the men’s toilet, women’s toilet, disability room, parent’s room, cleaners’ storeroom and the corridor and entryway. Additional space was required in the family room, plus the entryway and corridors were widened to improve accessibility. We operated the 10 week refurbishment in a live environment, with no restriction during construction.

Terry White Chemmart Caddens Corner New Store Fit Out

A brand new fit out with features unique to Terry White. We completed this project in just 4 short weeks to ensure the store was customer ready in time for their grand opening. It included over 100 downlights installed to highlight the merchandise trading floor, bespoke shelving, display cabinets and creating a staff amenities area and back of house office. The wood look flooring brought a modern style to the entire space.

Woolworths Merrylands Refresh and Refurbishment

The fresh food people needed a refresh and refurbishment to increase the storage capacity in an existing store. The 7 week project involved new paintwork, new wall tiling, an oak cladded entryway and new signage. There was also a need for new walls and the creation of a new pick up area for click and collect customers.

Woolworths Metro Castle Hill New Fit Out

From cold shell fit-out to completed Woolworths Metro in just 5 weeks! We completed works such as core drilling through 1.2 metre concrete beams, grinding of existing inconsistent concrete slabs to create a stunning polished floor and extensive plumping works on drain pipes. All this was completed on time, below budget and with zero defects.

Woolworths Metro Fish Lane Fit Out

Streetbuild were engaged to provide the fit out to a new Woolworths Metro development in Fish Lane. The work included extensive plumping solutions, new floor finishes and wall construction. Along with the development of the trading floor, the project included the creation of new staff areas including lunch room, toilet, office, back of house freezer, cool room and loading dock. We did face some access challenges throughout the project, however it was handed over on time in just 6 weeks.

Woolworths Metro Manly Fit Out

A fully functioning Metro Woolworths in just 5.5 weeks. Previously a Commonwealth Bank tenancy, the site required complete reconstruction. We transformed the cold shell with works including; extensive plumping solutions, new floor finishes and wall construction to create back of house areas and the trading floor. Back of house areas included a lunchroom, toilet, office, new freezer, cool room and loading dock.

ALDI Narellan Base Build and Fit Out

This major project saw the team onsite for 10 months, from the demolition of structures to the completion of a brand new ALDI store. The completed structure was a 2 story building; the ground floor included 3 other tenancies with an elevator to the top level 6000sqm ALDI store. Features within the ALDI trading floor included energy efficient LED lighting, industrial style pendant lighting for improved ambience, along with spotlight style lighting on tracks for product showcasing. The completed look was modern, with an “ALDI white” ceiling, rustic market style produce tables and shelving and hand crafted and Italian ceramic concrete look tiles. Outside, the site was completed with a spacious, well-designed 100 space car park and all landscaping works.

ALDI Sunshine Cove Base Build and Fit Out

This project was the first base build for our Streetbuild Queensland team. The brand new 1200sqm ADLI store featured a new design of store layout to provide better access to fresh produce bay areas. Features included industrial style pendant lighting for improved ambience, along with spotlight style lighting on tracks for product showcasing. The completed look was modern, with an “ALDI white” ceiling and market style produce tables and shelving. Outside of the trading floor, we also completed a spacious, well designed customer car park.

Mooloolah State School

In 4 weeks, we were stationed at Mooloolah State School to complete their amenities upgrade. The refurbishment involved new toilet partitions and Corian wash basins, laminated room signage and external paint and new metal perforated screens.

Kingston State School Admin Upgrade and Flexi Space

After 36 weeks at Kingston State School, QLD we have handed over a new space to be enjoyed by both student and staff. This included the addition of compact laminate toilet cubicles, laminate office joinery, staff kitchenette and staff desks, installation of security screens to windows, landscaping to external areas and new student access pathway. Features and finishes included powder coated metalwork screens and feature panels externally, carpet and vinyl flooring and polished edge mirrors inside amenities.

EG Fuels, Oran Park

This new build saw our NSW team working from the ground up with deep excavation for fuel tanks, a uniquely designed forecourt canopy and paved driveways. The project included a retail service station and hospitality space with Oliver’s Cafe complete with a drive thru food offering. The project began in October 2021 and the team faced many obstacles beyond control with COVID-19 regulation and excessive inclement weather delays, however all stakeholders persisted regardless of challenging circumstances and the project was completed and ready to serve the public in May 2022.

Woolworths Rochedale Customer Fulfillment Centre

The distribution centre where over 30,000 Brisbane residents will now get their grocery orders either delivered to their door, or collected from Woolworth’s Direct to Boot service. Woolworths Rochedale Customer Fulfilment Centre is home of innovation, efficiency and service. The first of its kind purpose-built centre created new jobs, customer convenience and designed with the intention to accomodate a modern way to shop. Our team were on site for 9 weeks completing an internal fit out with racking (and lots of it!), completion of a 30 x 30m2 supersized cool room and loading dock.

Myer Toowoomba

A complete multi-level refurbishment to bring this retail store into the modern age. Completed in July this year, the site required full lighting, painting and joinery upgrades, new modern timber-look vinyl flooring and transformation of fitting rooms completed including joinery, mirrors and furniture. Some of the previous design remained from its original fit out in the 1990’s and in 26 weeks we brought Myer Toowoomba into the 21st century, creating a modern, spacious, inviting retail space for the people and visitors of Grand Central Shopping Centre.

Rimon Ayoub

With Rimon’s Extensive experience in the construction industry he has obtained over 15 years in leadership roles across a variety of sectors, including operations management experience within the construction supply chain industry, followed by a shift to Project Management role in the commercial construction industry which then led Rimon into the current Estimating Management role he is currently in with us at Streetbuild.

Rimon brings an extensive amount of professional insight and knowledge to several aspects of commercial construction, Rimon offers an outstanding degree of expertise to Streetbuild. He has built an enviable reputation as an innovative thinker responsible for the pre-construction of all national projects.

Worked at StreetBuild for just over 2 years. Moved to WA in 2007 with his family. Cameron currently hold extensive knowledge after being in the construction industry for 26years with qualifications such as Diploma of Building, Diploma of Building Surveying and a Cert III in construction (fit out and finish). Cameron has had several leadership roles within his 26years of experience in the construction industry and through these experiences his career advice is it’s a small world, surround yourself with good people.

Managing the Queensland construction team as State Manager, Steve instils his acute attention to detail, quality and safety into each team member. This has resulted in an unwavering track record of successful commercial, retail, industrial and residential construction and refurbishment projects.

Backed by over 25 years in construction, Tim is well respected in the industry, demonstrated through the strong relationships he has established with his own team, clients, consultants and sub-contractors. Tim became managing director in June 2018, after a successful 10 year period with Streetbuild working across all areas the business.

He has proven to be a leader, that understands the importance of effective client communication, and his success lies in his commitment to taking a ‘hands on’ management approach.

Having worked and learnt under strong mentors himself, Tim understands the value of providing strong leadership, and mentoring to his staff members. Tim has a natural ability to develop and strengthen both individuals and management teams resulting in deeply loyal, inspired and effective colleagues.

Graeme Street

FOUNDING DIRECTOR – CHAIR

In 1998, after a successful and diverse domestic and commercial construction career spanning 30 years Graeme founded his own business, Streetbuild.

From day one, Graeme’s attention to detail ensured that business was constructed on the foundations of quality service, industry best practice, strong business ethics and an unwavering desire to go the extra mile for all stakeholders.

To this end, Graeme’s focus was to establish Streetbuild as a trusted employer and business partner – something he is proud to have successfully achieved with 25 staff that uphold these same values and over 30 construction partner organisations across Australia.

After leading the Streetbuild team as Managing Director for 20 years, in July 2018, Graeme handed the batten to Co-owner, Tim Gagen who has since shouldered the overall management and commercial direction of the business.

Graeme has now taken a more ‘helicopter view’ of the business, remaining as Founding Director & Secretary and Board Members, playing an advisory role in the areas of compliance and business practices.

With the commercial management of the business taken care of, Graeme now has the opportunity to pursue his passion for developing the Streetbuild team and providing mentorship to staff covering everything from construction expertise to business acumen. This process has been instrumental in providing a pathway to meet the short and longer-term aspirations.

Graeme continues to derive great satisfaction and pride in the ongoing development and expansion of the Streetbuild business and the people that make it happen in the STREETBUILD WAY.
